Costco Program?

Hi all, still working on my purchase plans. My retirement move happened sooner than expected (a good thing) but now in a more rural area, fewer dealers and inventory and no local knowledge of dealers. Still looking at a 4x4 Limited. Has anyone used the Costco program? If so, any feed back is appreciated.

You can always travel whatever distance you’re comfortable, you don’t have to do it in your hometown.

We purchased a car about 100 miles from home because it was optioned and colored the way we wanted. Nothing locally suited us. Located the car we wanted on the other side of the state; I gave that zip code for the Costco form and got a call from that dealer within minutes.

In my case, the dealer I was hooked up with thru the Costco program gave me the Costco price and then their Eprice which was about $500 less than the Costco deal. I then negotiated down even further from their Eprice.

I tried it with an Odyssey a few years back. It was not better than invoice and not as good as I ended up paying. Basically it’s a nice tool for people that aren’t comfortable with the negotiations, or maybe to get a better than sticker starting point.

Basically in the you tube video the guy said dealers pay Costco to offer the program.he said you would be better off going to a dealer that didn't have to pay costco and therefor the dealer wouldn't have to add that overhead into the price.the dealer pays costco for their membership list and Costco allows them to display a new vehicle outside a month or two.he said it was like no haggle pricing.however if you think its a fair price and don't like to haggle it might be good for you. a dealer near me that uses the costco plan its like 1000 off.but they are a high volume dealer so I am sure you could easily negotiate most of that 1000 rebate anyway.

You're in FL but if you're up for a road trip try Dennis Dillon RAM in ID. You will be hard pressed to find a better deal. And you can order from the factory at the same prices they have for stock vehicles. I'm 57.8k into a completely loaded 2021 PW 75th anniversary. Anyone can get that same deal with zero haggling. Only major options I didn't check were sunroof and RamBox. Even added dual alts and upfitter box.
