Hello all,

I posted this before and had to take a break from it for a couple of months for health reasons. I'm back in the saddle and trying to get this 2000 Ram 1500 5.2 to run. I got the truck free from a police impound after it was stolen. I had to replace the ignition switch as it was busted from the theft. Anyway, the truck cranks, the fuel pump primes and pressurizes to factory specs when I turn the key. The truck will crank, but I'm getting no spark, no injector pulse or fuel injected in the engine. I have replaced: the coil, crank sensor, cam sensor, and it needed a computer as the original one had a "no bus" issue so I replaced it as well. I know the crank and cam sensors are getting the required 5 volts, I know the connector at the coil is not getting power at all even when cranking the engine. Also, the wiring harness had some damage at the computer but it has been soldered and heat wrapped. Any clues as to what the issue could be? I want to get this thing running ASAP so I can put it to use. Its been in my driveway for months and I'm frustrated. Please help.

You have shot the parts cannon at it, so the only thing left is deep diving the electrical and that is going to take someone with schematics and theory knowledge to start seeing what is and is not there.

No magic bullet on this one.

DITTO ref Hootbro..... U R saying no power to coils, so maybe start there and work backwards ref power/electric. Good Luck on this one, definitely gonna take someone really good on wiring and such, just saying...

Just thinking out loud: "Fuse"??? ref power, shot across the bow...
Hidden kill switch>>> this shot misses entirely, LOL

Thanks, it is ticking me off frankly. My Achilles heel is wiring. I know its not the fuse I've checked them more than once.

ASD relay perhaps? Check all of your grounds and make sure they are good.

You know, that's actually a pretty good guess. He should verify fuel pressure while the engine is cranking. If it falls during cranking, it's a pretty good indicator that the ECU is not re-energizing the fuel pump.

His last post was last November however. Wonder if he's still messing with it or just gave up...
