I have a 2012 ram 2500 heavy duty with a 5.7L. when the outside temperature reaches 95 or higher, my truck throws 2 codes. one is the crankshaft position sensor P0389 and a P0108, map sensor circuit high. I changed both sensors and the truck runs good if the temp is 90 or below. When the heat goes up, the sensors throw codes. anybody else have this problem.

I thought that with the high heat, maybe the grounds were not working correctly due to heat increasing electrical current resistance. I cleaned all the grounds. no difference.

I have changed the sensors 3 times.

I noticed that when I remove the crank sensor, it has oil on it. Is this normal?

HELP

Oil on the crank sensor is normal as the tip of the sensor protrudes into the side of the block and into the crankcase.
