Im fighting with an annoying P0302 DTC code on a 04 5.7L and ive done everything I can think of except pull the valve cover off to check push rods.. I cleaned my throttle body and I reset the light, it stayed off for a few days till I was going up hill put my foot into it heard an exhaust leak from under right side of hood then boom lights back on. Still cylinder 2 misfire. Could this leak cause the code? I know it seems unlikely but I'm out of ideas....

I changed plugs, wires, intake gaskets, moved the coil to a different cylinder, moved the injector to a different cylinder and replaced the plugs on that cylinder twice and reinstalled new intake gaskets.. still P0302 and P0302 pending.

Maybe pull the valve cover on that side and check the springs and push rods for #2?
