Check your fuses and relays. I had change my cruise control servo to get mine to work again.

I don’t think you have a servo. I believe it is all done by ecm. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

VICINSA said he had to change cruise servo..I didn't know my truck had one...so not sure

But I do know I still can't get my cruise to work or even get the cruise light to come on when I push steering wheel cruise button

Anyone have any ideas

You don't have an electronic throttle body, so you have a servo somewhere.

Check the vacum lines on all the cruise connections. If one is off or cracked the cruise will not come on at all. Also, if no green light and you have checked fuses, neutral siwch, clock switch and cruise switch itself it may be in the transmission. On my 1996, there is a switch that will not allow the cruise to activate in neutral, mine would occasionally give an erroneous neutral reading and send it to the ECM and shut off the cruise. I had to stop, shut the truck off, and get going again before it would activate and let the green light come on again. It has done that for the past two years and still does.

Does my 2008 run on vacuum ..hmm. I thought it was all electrical
Well, I don't actually know that. I have a 1996, and a 2021. Haven't owned a between years one. The 1996 is a V10 with fuel injection and throttle body but it is cable drive from the gas pedal. No experience with your specific truck. Might want to download the service manual, that is what I did for my 96, and will for the 2021 when it comes off warranty. Best of luck.

Nope I was wrong. I was always under the impression that in 2008 only the 4.7 got the fly by wire because they didn't really care about the 3.7. If your fuses, etc are good then recheck the connection between the on/off switch and the clockspring, make sure none of the pins are bent and make sure that little bit of harness didn't get pinched under the airbag.

All good there..what next

Is it possible the abs sensor went bad on front even though it doesn't have abs on front . I think I read it uses the sensor ..but that still confuses me why the light won't even come on in the dash
