Hello everyone! Hope everyone is doing well, just out of curiosity, am I able to do a Cummins swap to my 2001 Ram 1500 4x4? I read a couple of forums that I'm able to still use the same frame and that the engine mounts are the same as well. I know I probably will need to change the Transmission (is there a belt housing kit to use the 46re still), fuel system and modules and then a guy that I work with said that a can upgrade my gear ratio because I won't be towing anything that big. I'm always here to learn! Thanks.

I'm wanting to swap out my 5.7 hemi for a Cummins diesel in my 06 mega cab and have been trying to find out what it will take and if it's even wroth the time and money to do it but have not had any luck with any info other then one person said it's possible but I'll need just about everything that is in a diesel truck so it would be pimointless and just buy the truck done which I don't understand how it is pointless because my truck is labeled as 1500 but is identical to the 2500 model other then the engine and transmission that is the only difference maybe the computer mapping needs to be remapping but that is not a big deal the electrical should be all the same in my truck as it is in the 2500 so I should not need to changed the wiring harness I don't think but I dont know that is what I've been searching to find out so if you have any luck please let me know and if I find out more I'll let you know
