Current truck prices

I don't know about the v6.i had a 23 charger with it and thought it was under powered for a car.i would more correctly say under torqued if that's a word.it would move on top end but you really had to get after it in traffic to pass someone or going up a moderate mountain.

I have been pricing 2500 Laramies at Dennis Dillon and the other one up there in Idaho (can't recall the name at the moment) but both were MSRP on new trucks. They did not have what I want in 2023's. Slightly cheaper on 23's but not worth the trip. More local in CA I have found 23's $2,500 to $5,000 off on the high end trucks. RAM advertises $3,000 off with an asterisk meaning almost nobody qualifies for it. Veterans if you did 20 years and retired within the last year and first responders if active. So I was told by two dealerships. Trucks I looked at were from 70-80 grand for a 6.4 gasser. Now that's a Laramie so the Big Horns and Tradesman are less but still a lot more and the 24's on the lot are also higher in price because RAM raised the Level 1 price a bunch. Yup, they cost more now and likely will remain high with the strike and it's aftermath. Just my 2c.

I'm gonna go see it today. I know it's a basic truck being 6Cyl but with 4WD it's cheaper than a Jeep.

It might be basic by today's standards, but it's a limousine compared to the pre-2000 pickups.

Seems you got a great deal, which is saying a lot these days. I paid $35 for a '19 Hemi Classic in mid-20 and thought it was a steal even then. If you're just doing light work the V6 will be ok. Not going to win any races but will get the job done.

I picked up my 2500 Laramie Mega Cab from University Dodge in Davie, FL. They had several trucks well under MSRP. I worked with Ray Lugo. I didn't feel like he was trying to steal my trade (2018 Laramie Mega Cab) nor gouge me on "his" truck.

Well it's home. Out the door price, tax, title license and the dreaded DOC FEE. $37,776.84
They put 4 new tires on it because sitting in the AZ heat since April the originals were flat spotted.

was going to post about truck prices and this came up. Revive the old post I guess. It’s sad that 7 years ago I walked out of the dealership with a tradesmen 2500 4wd cc LB 4.10 and chrome package with parking sensors for $37k. Now you get plain Jane single cab 1500 v6 for 37k, not that I’m picking on your truck but I couldn’t afford my truck again. It’s crazy…. I see 2500 limited Cummins over $100k. Who the hell can afford these trucks? It’s sad that people are even buying these over priced trucks and justifying the prices. I flirt with a new version of my truck from time to time because of the 8 speed, but I just can’t justify paying $58k for it. Although my truck listed for $45k, those discounts during those years really conditioned some of us into a false expectation suppose.

My feeling is this incredible price increase is the automakers gouging the internal combustion engine because the government is telling them the sun is about to set and they need to ramrod electrification. Not that they care, but raise the prices on trucks big and small and prices of everything goes up. They cry about housing prices, yet we are going to somehow haul lumber and carry 6k lbs worth of tools to your jobsite on a battery.

I’m sure Ram reads these posts. Please prove to us Tradesmen how a battery truck will do what ICE trucks can do. The amount of manhours lost per year sitting and charging batteries will be trillions of dollars of GDP.
