Hello, I’m going to order a Ram Limited with the Night Out package, but I’m not a fan of the plastic vents on the hood. The Tungsten has the same HO Hurricane engine but no additional vents, so I would assume that it won’t present any airflow problems if I can get them to put a hood from that model on a Limited. Does that seem like an unreasonable ask when special ordering a $90k truck? Would it present any problems I’m not seeing?

There are two types of hood for 5th gens. Standard and Sport Performance. The Limited comes with the standard hood unless you add the Night Edition package. This package comes with the Sports Performance hood. There will be no airflow issues as ether hood can be used on any 5th gen other than the TRX and RHO. The vents on the Sports Performance hood are non-functional. So you would have no issues running with the standard hood.

Have you talked to your dealership about swapping hoods? Ram will not allow substitutions like you're talking about when placing an order, so it would have to be a dealership decision to allow a hood swap.
