AI did a pretty good job. I'm considering this...

Been a long long time since I had a vehicle painted. What's your guess as to how much this might cost?

Takes a bit to dial it in, and am getting closer...

make a picture for me of a 2025 white ram 1500 with black painted lower panel, silver wheels, ram badge on front door, black grill and black ram badge, and twin narrow black sporty painted hood, parked alongside a fishing stream.

I see I have lost my eTorque badge and picked up some hood vents.

Looks great. I’d use Bed liner.

Like glue them to the side panels?

*** Edit ***
Like the spray on stuff. A gritty look and tough. I like that idea.

I got to get a couple of quotes in the spring. With the hood painting this truck really comes alive.

I like that first picture. Just ditch the RAM emblems on the doors.

Those are already there. Factory.

Damn. There is a limit to how many images I can create. And I was getting so close to what I wanted. The above is my Truck sans the 1500-eTorgue badge on the hood.

Go to a place that wraps vehicles and see if they can do what youre looking to do. The wrap on the side will give the panels a little protection against scratching and still achieve your goal and probably be a little cheaper than painting

I sent the latest pic off to a local paint shop to get a quote. Also looking into doing a DIY roller application of a bed liner for the lower side panels. Many many years ago I did that to a chevy 1/2 ton. It came out pretty good, and very appropriate for an older truck, such as it was. Just not sure about doing the same with a brand new truck. I'm still hesitant about these new computer overload vehicles and thinking selling it earlier then never might be needed. Having a DIY chimp quality roller paint might sting me in a dealer trade-in.

Don't roll on the bed liner. It may be durable but it looks cheap. It would look better painted or like i mentioned get it wrapped but dont use the bed liner crap

I don't like the first one, reminds me of the city service trucks, but them I am a old chrome and shinny wheels kind of guy , I had black wheels on my old grain trucks.
The black strips looks OK, but its kind of a ford look as they did that back a few yrs ago. Ford look=:doublepuke:

I stopped in at the auto paint business. They only do collision repairs.

Said nobody does custom painting anymore. It's all wraps these days. I mentioned doing a bedliner on the rocker panels, and they said, Yup people are doing that. My guess to do a paint job the detail require extensive effort, that nobody will pay for these days.

I'll keep looking. Hard to believe that nobody does paint anymore. There are lots of people doing them as a business on YouTube. Hmmm....

Wrapping is definitely a lot less than paint, but you must make sure of the quality and workmanship of the wrap or you will regret that route in short order.

Which is why I mentioned the PPF earlier in the thread. Take this white RHO (not mine) for example. That's PPF wrapped on the upper portion circled in red. 1772991701111.png

Some people say black two tone looks cheap, paint or otherwise. You know what they say about opinions, I guess.

Okay! I got a guy that can do the job. He only paints, no vinyl, no bed liner.

Here is his quote (reasonable?) ->
This is what I have as a estimate with labor and material included:
Hood stripes: $150
Strip on each door: $75x4 doors= $300
Truck bed stripe per side: $150x2 bed sides=$300
Fender stripe: $10x2 fenders= $20

Total estimate for the job: $770
