OK, as I learn the ropes of being a RAM owner, I am seeing an issue that I'm surprised RAM didn't address--mud flaps. I have the standard issue 2017 Ram 1500 Limited, and it has the tubular running boards (or as they call them, wheel-to-wheel side boards). I notice on my muddy road that it's throwing up a lot of mud on the side of my truck.

What mud flaps are you using, do you like them, and do they look good? I'm not finding a lot of selection of mud flaps that look good, maybe with a RAM logo or something on them and easy to install.

Thanks as always. Making my birthday/Christmas list of things to upgrade (LED/HID headlights and fog lights, LED bulb upgrades inside and bed lights, new tires, and mud flaps).

There are a lot of good ones out there. I'm using Husky Mud Guards, they're holding up great. I also went with the Husky floor liners. I like them a lot better than the Weathertech.

Do you have running boards as well? Did the mudflaps install easily? Thanks!

There are OEM ones available as a MOPAR accessory. The Weathertech ones are OK and they do fit well. But the Husky ones give you better coverage.

I've used all three and they all use existing holes. No drilling required.

I bought the Mopar ones for trucks without flares.
Front ones rubbed against the tube steps so I gave those to a friend, but the back ones are nice. I painted the embossed Ram head with PDM matching body color.

I had the Mopar ones with the factory flares, but I recently changed the factory to pocket flares the fronts went back on okay but need modification the backs need modification before they'll go back on. in my search for replacements I 've seen a lot of different styles that should suit you my search still continues

I have the Weathertech mudflaps, really do a good job. I combined with a flat step running board the stops all the mud and rocks from our dirt road. Keeps my paint chip free.

Put Duraflap 14” wide extra long on my 2022 2500 4x4 Longhorn. Totally solved the mud being shoveled up on my retractable running boards and all down the side of the truck.

OEM heavy duty mud flaps. They are bolted and riveted.

Mopar, Husky and Weathertech are about the most popular. I just happen to have Weathertech Mud Flaps and Husky floor liners. That was what was available when I had money to spend.

TIP: If installing using existing screws, a lil Blue Locktite is a mighty thing.

I've got the OEM mud flaps and even with just the stock 18's the truck still gets a lot of road slop and mud up on the sides.
