On my rebel, I'm using the Rexing V1 and Amazon ARMORTEK mirror mount kit. The v1 is a little expensive but has great features, easy setup, and nice display. Have the v1 with suction cup mount on my charger as well, no issues with either after updating the firmware.

I just got a viofo a129 dual cam. Supposedly superb quality for the price with a good parking mode. I'm going to do a little write up on it once I get it installed & get comfortable with it.
