Dash light wont come on

I have indicators and warnings but no backlight. I checked the fuse on the box which was fine, i changed the headlight switch which was fine too but there was no power reaching the backlight pin on the switch. Any ideas as to what is wrong?

i'D SAY iT's most likely the printer circuit on the back of the cluster... If I'm wrong Guys on here will most likely let me know .. I just got another cluster & Put in my truck.. I didn't care about the miles. As mine is just an old farm truck..
But I got one that turned out to be worse than my 1st one .. SO I started over.. Next one more things works .. SO I'm going to say get the same year model .

On one of my trucks, somebody had jumpered 12v directly to the cluster from the headlight switch. I presume its a similar problem they worked around.
