dash speaker install troubleshooting

So this morning I decide to go down to my local audio sho poo and by some kicker ks35 for my dash. I installed the driver side first, when I installed the passenger side everything worked well, it seemed.. till I decided to set up my balance/faded.. it is stuck all the way up directly in the center and it won't move everything on the screen works besides that menu.. did anyone else have this happen to them?? Keep in mind have the alpine system

Sorry for your luck. I replaced the dash speakers in my '12 and the fade/balance works as normal...

The speakers themselves will have no impact on the controls of the radio. Sounds like you have a problem/defect with the head unit.
