Dash swap

Can anyone please tell me why the 2004 dash won't swap in the 2002 dodge ram 1500 only 2002 and 2003 any help is appreciated thank you. I found a 2004 and the guy at the junk yard told me to swap all of the dash minus the airbags and steering wheel since they're not interchangeable is this possible, thank you again for any help.

The dash will swap in, you need to use your original airbags because 02-03 use single stage airbags, while later ones use multistage airbags (and a different steering wheel). They aren't compatible (duhh lol).
