The L3v2s more or less dropped in. I just made new holes because they didn't line up with factory holes. They are slightly bigger than the factory mids. Btw, I am about to swap to the L3 Pros for mids, though.
I got the Dyns because so many people recommended them as one of the best mid-bass woofers out there... They fit nicely with an adapter.
I'm liking what I see with your doors. I bet the mid bass sounds more full with authority? Good job!
As for the domes....I've ran domes in many many installs over the years. I've never heard a dome that can actually play in low with any type of authority. Most can't realistically do anything beyond 800hz with a steep crossover. Give those L3's a chance to break in and try to angle up a bit and towards the center of the dash.
When I had my 10fs installed, which are bigger than the L3's you have, I ended up trimming the flange damn near off. I was able to angle them upwards and towards the middle. It made a HUGE difference. The way the corner dash is on these trucks just flopping speakers has them sit almost angled toward the front of the truck when you actually give it a good look.
I made an angled shim so that the 10f's angled upwards toward the seats with a slight angle towards the center of the dash.
