You were close now I just need to find a new intake, which is not easy since they claim that its discontinued.
I just dont know what other years will work.
Or why it did this.

Any chance there's enough plastic(thick enough) to thread a fitting into yours?Not a lot of pressure there.At least not until it backfires.LOL.

2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 4.7 engine. Truck ran great Saturday after noon drove 30 miles to town no issues. Parked truck for about half an hour, went to leave started truck it backfired!! Shut truck off went to restart it, it started but shot up to 6000rpms for idle.. replaced Throttle Position sensor, Air mixture sensor. Still wants to idle at 6000rpm... I'm dazed an confused of what's wrong with my truck.
