Dead battery 7pin plugged in

2018 ram 1500 with tow package. With 7 pin plug in you cannot stop draw on truck battery . Battery switch or with shore power. Have to install a electrical disconnect on truck battery. 3 wire solenoid, two battery in and out and one key switch power wire. Turn off ignition disconnects truck battery.

or just unplug the 7-pin
It might be a good idea to check the condition of the trailer battery and check if there's anything on the trailer drawing current.

I had a bad trailer battery ref quik connect which would draw power continuously till got a new one and also a new cover to the box so I know the status. But all circumstance are different. I replaced the cover with an upgraded circuit board cover, and with the new battery, now no issues. But I also, since I do not tow often, actually put a trickle charger on the trailer battery to bring it up to s n u f f instead of relying on the vehicle to fully charge battery.

Yep, this is to help charge the battery while transporting your travel trailer. Never leave it plugged in.
