Check on warranty of the actual steps. If they are branded steps there may be a longer warranty as they are technically aftermarket, even if installed at dealer.

Not likely you will get any good resolution, but worth a shot.

The boards I bought at ram dealer and had them install them, but it is worth a try calling them.

Thanks

I have a friend he had the same problem but it was seen just before 3 year warranty period. They put on brand new ones on his truck . Also they got put on by dealer after he got the truck, they did not come from factory but they were Mopar brand ones

Yes mine are mopar also, I selected them at the dealership then had them installed. Just very expensive boards to have pop like that.

I would rather sell it privately then deal with a dealer on trade

Why go through the headache? Guaranteed buyer, plus PA is a tax credit state.

Agreed, even if he doesn't get as much trading as he would privately, he'd be saving a lot in tax from the credit. So why go through the hassle of private sale?

feedback from FCA on my running boards issue. FCA said they would pay for new running boards, only if I have the dealer install them at a price of $400.00
what a crock! I told FCA to keep their running boards.

My friend had the exact same thing happen .He went to the dealer in NJ Sansone and it was covered if you had them install the running boards. Today he has brand new running boards on the truck.

Tell them you will take off old ones and put new ones on yourself and see if that fly,s. You just want to replace their defective running boards. FCA might do that because they have to pay the dealer to install them and take old ones off. Also open a case and get a case number from them have them e-mail you it, for your records
