I have owned my 2021 ram 3500 ho diesel since July '21.

I had the def service light cone on with the usual shutdown notice so i took it into service.

I was told that this was a "known" issue and i had overfilled the def tank.

I usually take trips that are about 12k and planned on using the def pump to fill my tank. Chrysler says i cannot. They also said i had to bring the truck in every time this happens.

Any ever hear of this ?.. and is there an effective and inexpensive code reader and remover i can buy ?

thanks

??If overfilling caused this, keep just under full.
If mine hits "1/2" I can put in one container and it will go back up to "full".
Wait for it to go down below "1/2" and then add the container. Should keep you from overfilling.

in my '18 the def tank is 5.5g. A stated above, put in a jug 2.5 at 1/2 and no have to worry about overfilling. That would give you .25gal for expansion
