I just painted my chrome mirrors to color match my truck, the chrome was thick on the caps so I wasn't able to sand it off. I used 220 grit wet sanded so there was enough to tooth in the plastic chrome and then I used plastic adhesive spray then normal primer then paint and clear.

Nice - did you spray them yourself? I'm terrible with a rattle can and will probably just try to find a paint shop to do the whole thing for me.

Yea Ibut if your going to have a shop spray them you might want to ask them to do the repair as well It shouldn't cost to much extra

Tow Mirror Repair

They're repairable.

Do they sell covers for these? Or is that only for the regular mirrors?

The cracks can be repaired via fiberglass from the inside, if they need to be. From there if it's still visible on the outside... Some bondo or maybe even a thick primer could conceal it.

I would sand it down real good with 220-180 then some primer.

But since you don't plan on doing any of this yourself... Yes, it's repairable [emoji106]

IMO
