Does anybody know if AlphaOBD would let you delete the front axle actuator on the 4X4's,so you can disconnect it with-out getting the Service 4X4 message.

Thanks Brandon, the question came up on High Performance Rams. I wasn't sure if you could delete the front axle actuator with AlphaOBD or not.I've been using Dylans AlphaOBD set-up for a couple things on my truck, but he's 2 hours away, just to go find out if it's do-able or not, lol.

Why would you want to delete it? Just curious...

A couple of us are running around with-out the front diff/driveshaft/axles etc., on our 4X4's.Strictly for dragstrip pavement princess's,as getting rid of the front 4X4 pieces is usually good for 2 or 3 tenths at the track

Ahh... should’ve bought a 2wd....lol

You can't find a 2 wd regular cab shortbox with the 8 speed in Canada, they're a very rare animal up here, lol. FCA used Canada as their dumping ground for the older RFE transmission,so the majority of 2 wheel drive trucks up here came through with the 6 speed. They were still dumping the 6 speeds into the 2019 trucks up here, maybe even into the 2020 models to,but i haven't checked them out much. You can't give a 2 wheel drive truck away up here,so the dealers hardly ever brought any in. When i bought my RCSB 4X4,i had my dealer do a Canada wide search for a RCSB 8 speed 2 wheel drive truck, and there wasn't 1 available. There's a very low milege 2014 R/T for sale at a dealer in BC,and they've been trying to flog it for 3 months now,and have dropped over $8,000 off their initial asking price and still haven't had any bites on it.As Brandon states if you have a late model 2 wheel drive truck here, you're pretty well stuck with it,as they aren't worth much on the used market, and a dealer won't give you anything for it on trade,as there's a good chance they'll have to wholesale it out to get rid of it.

Makes sense. 2wd models take a beating on the resale market here as well.

Dealers in Ontario don't want to give you anything for a 4WD either.Their offers are pretty insulting actually.

I can't comment on that one,as i've never bought or traded a vehicle off down east.I've bought/traded in B.C / Alberta / Saskatchewan,but never in Ontario,lol
