Finally got my detroit locker ordered.
Got it from Drivetrain america. The shopping cart price was cheaper than summit and if you join their email, you get a 5% coupon. So about $50 cheaper and free shipping.

Eaton doesn't make a locker for the newer ZF 9.25 only for the older Chrysler 9.25.
So he either meant the truetrac or he bought the wrong part.

I came into this thread with high hopes. I found the usual.

Truetrac is a great LSD, but it pales in comparison to the Detroit locker.

My open diffy sucks. Drove a loaner with lsd. What a difference.

Unless you are spending most of your time off road you will like the Truetrac more than the Detroit locker. None of the bad behaviors and with a bit of brake use will have 90+% of the full locker capability. I've had both and will always take the Truetrac for a daily driver.

I second what @lpennock says above.

PW uses an AAM diff with both the helical LSD (TruTrac design) and E-locker in the same case. The LSD is so good I rarely use a locker, even climbing ledges or rock crawling.

I’ve had other trucks with helical LSD and they would all reliably spin a tire on dry asphalt with the opposing tire on dirt or grass.

You will be well served with the Truetrac unit.

Where did ya order. I was just told that eaton claims their leadtime was into January.

That many people are buying? Or did not make much. I hope its not a design issue.

I ordered mine almost two months ago from WestCoast Differentials but I think they're sold out already. I think Summit may still have some though.

Well, since this finally exists I guess it’s time to pull the trigger on it and a set of 3.92s. Finding the 3.92 front diff assembly is still hard around here though.
