Amazon shows my order of 20 quarts at $10 CDN a quart was shipped a couple of days ago, and should be delivered today. Purolator shows the package as having left their warehouse in Edmonton today a 4 a.m. Interested to see if it actually shows up. There were no shipping charges, or other fees, just GST as usual.

With Amazon Prime you get free shipping plus you get all the movies and series they have on Prime.

$99 bucks a year plus tax gets all that. It is worth it for the shipping alone but I easily get my money back just in movies and the series you can only watch on Prime.

Plus Amazon owns MGM as of 2022 and now all the rights to James Bond franchise.

I sound like a commercial but I am a move junkie so it is worth it.
I've had a few things where Prime doesn't cover the shipping on,usually stuff shipped by that rip-off outfit UPS
Case in point the gauge i just bought.
I signed up for Primes free trial just to have the shipping covered, and it didn't qualify

Well the order semi worked out. Upshot is, I ended up with 4 quarts of 5w20 Red Line for $10 Canadian a quart. They didn't have stock to fill the other 16 bottles. Still less than half what it is now at JB Auto, 24.99 a quart and JB is still cheaper than Amazon..

Correct me if I'm mistaken but, doesn't the fine print of the Prime free trial contract state something like, you agree to pay all the free shipping charges when you opt out of the deal?

Are they going to send you the remaining bottles to fill the order when they get more, or did they call it a day on the order?

I hope you read all the fine print, Amazon is pretty slippery with some of the wording.
They kept me away from trying anything free.

For the 9 bucks a month that Prime costs I think the convenience and access to the Prime channel is easily worth it. Finding stock at bricks and mortar has become so difficult I am buying more and more from Amazon. I just don't have the patience anymore for the crap service, lack of product and lack of interest in ordering what I want in. I had Redwing boots want to charge me full price non refundable, to bring in a standard set of their boots. They are part of their everyday line up, not a special order. This, just so I could try them for fit. That is way past stupid. If they don't fit, I still have to pay for them. Fat f'ing chance i am doing that.

I have no argument for buying Prime if you plan to use it. And, I see the value for many people. Amazon should provide it for free for customers like Ian, but that's another story.

Maybe, if my damned internet wasn't so expensive, I'd buy it for the TV perks.

I was just poking fun at Rick who AFAIK, has no intention of continuing the membership and hopes to get away with some bonus from the trial period.
