My week is looking super hectic, but i want to make time to get my tuner on the truck.
Right now i'm just looking to install the canned 93 Performance tune. How much time should i budget. What are you guys seeing as the typical amount of time it takes to do the initial load.
I've already updated the tuner. Just want to make sure i allow for enough time to get it done.
Thanks.

I'd say budget an hour. The first load takes awhile as it needs to download the stock tune and replace it with 93. I.just modified my tune for tire size and changed a couple things and was done in 3 mins. On the safe side budget an hr. Also make sure when it says to turn off the key, you open your door so it fully turns off.

Don't forget to plug the programmer into your computer and check for updates at Diablosport. Do this first to save some time.

Plug it into your truck and let it marry to your truck then plug back into computer as it may be specific to your trucks tune.

Sometimes what happens is once the tuner reads what factory tune you have and what updates were applied it may ask you to go back to your computer for an update it didn't know it needed yet. If that makes sense. Then once you plug it back into your computer it'll automatically do its thing that's needed to tune your truck

If you have an aftermarket sound system, disconnect your sub from your battery. That caused me a good hour loss and I have to disconnect my sub anytime I flash it.

Oh, and don't leave your trinity plugged in overnight... Had a dead battery this morning when I went to leave for work

That makes absolutely no sense

Not making it up. I tried three times to pull my stock tune onto my trinity, but it failed. I researched on their forum and they said disconnect anything aftermarket that is electrical. So I pulled the fuse for my sub and viola.

Are there any parameters that are a "must change" item. I have heard about bumping up the throttle response and shift firmness?

Not really a ton of options. Shift firmness isn't an option for the 8spd. Lower fan settings if you install a 180 thermostat, turn off MDS, throttle response, tire size, and I thinks that's about all you wanna mess with.

I think if you have a Hemifever tune he automatically sets your throttle response at 20%.

Yup, canned tunes are pretty much useless. Custom tunes is the ticket :)
