Any time you got something running off the pullys your using engine power to turn it. That's why the new R/T trucks have 5 more horsepower because they went to a electric power steering pump.
I don't know how much I got back, but my truck loved the mod. Also dropped a couple more pounds.

The hardest thing was not having a clue how to remove the fan.

Also.. Is it possible for HF to do an 89 tune? I run 89 and I really don't want to spend the money filling up with 93.

Yes, I'm pretty sure he would tune what ever you want.

If I did my math right...

It only cost $10 more for a 34 gallon tank of 93 vs 87

That's $10 for roughly (+/-) 400 mi.

:)
*ETA*
Even less if you're used to using 89 oct

Just a tip on loading the Diablo tune into the Ram. Mine was doing the same thing saying my pcm needed an update before downloading the new program. I took my truck to the dealer and he loaded in 8 new updates into the computer. Then when I hooked up the diablo it loaded the new program right in.

I just did some quick math.. if its say 7-8 bucks more a tank (89 to 93) I fill up twice a week it would cost me around 750 bucks more a year.

EDIT.. im bad at math I had to edit my numbers.. :(

OMG I think im going to pull the trigger on a DS intune with HF.. I have been staring at it in my shopping cart for an hour now.. I just want to hear how well of an increase you get on the butt dyno, and how much better the trany cleans up.

I am a bit scared with all the issues updating the tuner tho. I dont want to mess my truck up. I have a full extended warenty and I dont want to **** that away I only have 3k on the truck...

You will not regret it. One of the best mods for the money.

Filling up twice a week means you're putting app 800mi a week on your truck.(?)

3K is ancient history at this rate! :D

I have an '06 stock HEMI and I do not regret the $600

That's how much a difference I can feel in the truck running a 93 tune.

After I find a place where I can open it up with out risk of getting nailed I'll record some data and send it in for the HF tune.

If you plan on modding, the Tuner is the first step.

*ETA*
lol - I only put 7K on in two years

I would disagree with that. Exhaust and CAI and catch can would be my first mods followed by a Bully Dog.
The canned Bully Dog tunes are a lot better than the Diablo canned tunes.
I most deffenity am not trying to talk you into a DS before me posting any HF results.

My main goal here is to clean up the shift points and get a little bit more response out of the truck. I cant even break my tires loose from a dead stop if I floor it with traction control off.. The truck moves, but i just want response so when im going up a hill my rpms dont drop to 900 and I have to floor it to get out of the gear to start accelerating again. This truck finds gears like I reasons to spend money on this dang truck lol

Lol! ^^^

You will find gains and perks even adding it to stock, in exactly the areas you mentioned. As you add cai, tb, etc., you will be able to have the tune tweaked to support and make the best of them.

However, I must warn you that you just started the snow-ball effect of modding your truck! Beware!!! Lol

One more thing:
With the $489 you spent on the DS, you could just barely buy a Vararam (hint hint) and a catch can (hint hint).
While those are both great mods, I guarantee you that the DS and HF will give you much more in terms of acceleration, tighter shifts and overall performance than the Vararam and the catch can combined.
And I am by no means saying that you shouldn't buy or don't need ALL the other mods! Lol! I am saying "good job bro, you got yourself a nice new toy!" :)

Oh this is not my first rodeo my friend lol. It all started back in 2005 I bought a brand new SRT4 and joined a community like this, only problem was they all lived near me. I built a family with these people and lived at the track. I only had the car for 2 years and put over 15k into it.. I swore I would never get bit that BAD again. Got a house, and a wife now, so things are different.. However I do find my self looking at supporting mods now.. Its easier to fight the bug once you have been there tho.. in time I will but not all at once like I did before. I know it will never never never end.
