I was able to purchase this tuner for 1/2 off brand new in box, just have a few questions i need assistance with please:

1. I did look on diablo's website and the 8345 intune i3 does look like it will work with my 2012 hemi ram, can you confirm this?

2. making sure i can actually DISABLE MDS (multi cyclinder BS) I hate this feature and need it gone!

3. Can this also fix the throttle response issue too?

4. Can I adjust shift speed / firmness too?

5. Now obviously it wont have the hemi fever tune but will the built in tunes offer even slightly better performance? And how do I add the hemi fever options later on?

Thanks a million for any help!

Yup should work on your 2012 without any need to swap the PCM out. I would make sure you update it to the latest software before use, especially if using the canned tunes. You should be able to edit the canned tunes with minor changes like disabling MDS, throttle boost, and you might be able to play with the shifting to an extent. In all honesty the canned tunes are pretty meh, but you will get some more power over stock. The custom tunes are really where its at if you want the most from the truck especially if you have some bolt ons on it.

Since that is an I3 platinum you should have no issues getting an email tune from someone like HemiFever or Greene loaded on there as the platinums are unlocked for custom tuning (Non CARB compliant). All you do is email them your stock backup and last flashed from the tuner and then they email you a starting point tune. From there you datalog with the i3, email the logs, and then flash the revision tune.

Curious, if you have the i3 but not the platinum edition... can you not run a custom tune?

Mine works fine for canned tunes, but it only has the 87 and 91 .. and I was going to buy a custom tune but thinking I cant with this model now. Also workd fine for tire size, MDS contol, speed limiter, etc. Emailed Jay Greene to find out. That would suck.

It can be a little buggy. I found the safest way to use it is to play it safe when it gets to the timered count down. When it asks you to key off wait 30 seconds, key off, wait 30 seconds, then hit continue. When it asks for key on, wait 30 seconds, key on, wait 30 seconds, hit continue. Doing that method I've had zero failed flashes where before just listening to the unit I would get all sorts of flash failures.

If the unit is not a Platinum then it is CARB compliant and has no support for custom tunes.

Diablo sport has a patch that can unlock it for custom tunes.

My I3 on my 11 is the Platinum model. It works fantastic but does require you update it before use. I have no idea why. I tried to load the 91 tune before updating, it failed. I updated the software, the 91 tune loaded, turned MDS off, adjusted the throttle sensitivity. All was well. Two months later, I adjusted throttle sensitivity up from 10% to 15% had to update again before it would work. Once updated worked great.

I now update it on the computer prior to hooking up to truck. No issues.

An update on this, if you call them with the 8300 and prove you don't live in CA, they will turn it into the 8345. So I did that.

That being said.... before I buy a custom tune... what do the Diablo and 93 tune(besides require 93 octane) do?

I'm running JBA shorties, S&B intake, and a 85mm TB. Curious if I should give that a try before I dish out the 225 for the custom tune.

Wish there was a list of what each of these tunes did.
