I found a used 2015 for 38k for 2k Miles on it. Window sticker price was 51k when new. Is this a good deal?

If you want to find out if you overpaid, you can go to Used Cars, New Cars, Reviews, Photos and Opinions - CarGurus and plug in the VIN and it will tell you for your area whether you got a good deal or not.

Also go to www.cars.com and do a search nationally.

Last weekend I bought a 2015 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 5.7L V8 SLT+Bighorn package with NAV and backup camera for $32,577 out the door. Before taxes and such it was just under $31K.

I highly, highly recommend cars.com for doing national searches for vehicles. I was able to find my truck for about $5K less than locally.

I paid 33400 for my 2013 CC Sport 4X4 with 35K miles. After my trade, Tax, Title, Tags, & warranty, I financed just under 40K at 3.5% APR. I think I got shafted on the Mopar Warranty, but overall, I'm happy with the truck.

Yeah, the warranties (5yr-100,k Max Care and a 4yr Esential Care) were about a total of 4K. I was at the dealer for a long time and the finance manager rushed through everything and I'm an idiot for not catching it.

I don't have great credit, so when they finally came back at 3.5% I was stoked and ready to sign. They gave me a great deal on my trade, but made up for it with the warranties.

The Essential Care is basically just 8 free oil changes, and I discovered the Ram goes quite the distance between changes, so I'll probably cancel that. This was also the first time I've bought a car without my wife, or to kick it way back, my parents. Live & learn and don't let them rush you through signing.

My advice for future new car buyers is conduct all business online through email.

Use a web site like www.cars.com to shop for the car you want. Then email the dealership that has the vehicle you want and ask for the out-the-door price with the various financing options and terms. For example, 0% APR for 60 or 72 months will get you price X, where you generally give up some of the rebates for the 0%, whereas 4.2% over 60 or 72 months will get you all the rebates. It's generally a good idea to take the rebates and then just pay off your loan early by paying a little extra each month.

Go to your local dealer to test drive. You can let them make an offer, too, but don't buy on the spot. Do all your business through email. That way you avoid all the pressure BS.
