After I accelerate the truck get this gas smell inside the cabin , could I have done something wrong in the oil change ? Or left something loose ? Here are my temperatures after 20 minutes of cruising. 9jbIJ13.jpg

Why wouldn't you go check the obvious first? Oil filter, sump plug, oil cap, dipstick.

Spill any on your clothes without noticing?

Regardless, if you are smelling fresh gas do not mess around, get it looked at. I don't know where the fuel lines is, maybe you pulled it when changing the filter, but I couldn't see how that would only show up when accelerating anyhow. Never mess around when smelling fresh gas smell.

OK, what I see that is interesting is, Why is your Check Engine Light on? Since the speedometer shows 65 mph, and that light is lit, issues? Do you check and see if any codes are thrown? Do you have an OBD reader where U can check for codes? Gas Cap Loose?? Drop something on HPFP line? ALSO, temps look fine...

From manual, 2019, WHAT I have saved:

Engine Check/Malfunction Indicator Warning
Light (MIL)

The Engine Check/Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) is a
part of an Onboard Diagnostic System called OBD II that
monitors engine and automatic transmission control systems.
This warning light will illuminate when the ignition
is in the ON/RUN position before engine start. If the bulb
does not come on when turning the ignition switch from
OFF to ON/RUN, have the condition checked promptly.
Certain conditions, such as a loose or missing gas cap, poor
quality fuel, etc., may illuminate the light after engine start.
The vehicle should be serviced if the light stays on through
several typical driving styles. In most situations, the vehicle
will drive normally and will not require towing.
When the engine is running, the MIL may flash to alert
serious conditions that could lead to immediate loss of
power or severe catalytic converter damage. The vehicle
should be serviced by an authorized dealer as soon as
possible if this occurs.
WARNING!

Look at you the man, exactly 20 and then got out and still sharp as a tack. It was nice to have those 20 years retirements back then, I hear they took those away, don't know for sure. Thanks for your service brother, Burla

WARNING!
I put longtube headers on the truck and it’s been throwing an O2 sensor light. The smell is gone , I had spilled some oil when putting the new one.

I spilled some oil when putting the new oil in. It landed on the headers.

Burnt oil and fuel just not the same. Of course if U R mistaken, and U R not 100% it gas, could be oil cooking on the headers. Just hard to know unless I was there. PS< Not driving to Houston, LMAO, 4 hrs away, Good Luck with your search...

Fuel lines run close to headers.... did. You put long tubes on. I hope you wrapped the lines with heat tape ???

The Mods need to tag turkey, he's military. I think you need to reply in military thread to get your tag. I dunno, my tag just showed up one day :)

Turkey spent over 20 years in the same MOS, he earned a tag. Thanks to Ram forum for recognizing vets.

My best friend went into the Navy, man those Army Navy games have been rough for the last twenty years, lol. Wow
