Hello

I'm looking to deactivate the parking lights on the front headlights.
Here is the picture:

With Alfaobd I found it:
- Left Front Park Lamp
- Right Front Park Lamp
To test and identify them.

I then found this option:
CBC Features \ LED Front Park/Marker Lamps Present: Yes
I changed it to No, but no change, it's still on.

Do I have the right option?
Any ideas on how to disable them?

Thanks

Curious minds are wondering, why?

There's probably no way to change the programming to turn them off as they're most likely a federally mandated lighting requirement.
If you really want them gone, will probably need to figure out how to put a bypass resistor in place of that light.

Thank you
I live in France, it's forbidden to drive with orange side lighting.

I hadn't thought about the fact that it's mandatory, and so it's not possible to deactivate them.
I'm thinking about something else, I haven't changed my country code yet, so I'm still using it -->
- VehConfig 1: \ Country Code: Canada
- ECUConfig 3: \ Country of Destination: Canada

This could potentially solve my problem, but I've read a lot of messages where when you change the country code, people have configuration problems afterwards.

Before making changes in the BCM which can unintentionally affect other settings, you may want to inquire with companies that specialize in vehicle importing to other countries. Canada has similar vehicle lighting requirements as the United States with the exception of the DRL lighting.
In the short term you might be able to get away with cutting a piece of black gaffers tape to cover that part headlight as to block the orange lighting. Or if there needs to be a reflective orange there

How did a Canadian truck make it into France?

IF there was an importeur involved i would expect them to have gone through the proper channels to make the vehicle legal (this might include disabling amber sidemarkers, OR obtaining a waiver for them)

What kind of title does your truck have ?

If it was issued by your government it should mean the truck is legal for all roads in their jurisdiction

While I would advise using extreme caution before adjusting country codes and exhausting other options first, as far as I know, France is considered an ECE Country.

There's an option in Country Code for ECE Countries, and the Country of Destination has France as an option.

As always, make BCM configuration backups before any changes using AlfaOBD.

And for those who choose to use AlfaOBD for Android, one additional backup is required to produce a list of the current BCM configurations expressed in English.

Another possible route to explore is the DRL configuration settings. Could one of these Europe DRL options have the solution? The bonus of tweaking the DRL config setting is that it does not potentially disturb other aspects of the BCM, as a change to the Country Code might.

I wouldn't hesitate to experiment with the different DRL config options, but as always, create a backup first.

Keep in mind that many tweaks require several ignition cycles before they appear. The DRL tweaks I added to my truck did take several days, but I'm retired and don't always use the truck daily.

I changed my 'made for the Canadian market' truck to 'Optional DRL' and added the DRL CSM option to disable the DRL when I choose. They're always on while driving, but not always while parked.
