I would assume you can get one from the dealer. However the stock one is pretty crappy, I can't remember what it says on the cover but I think it is only like 100W or something, it might be a little more. What would be really cool, I just don't have the time to do it would be to get the cover and plug portion, but rig up your own converter under the dash that is one of the beefier ones, say like 600+Watts.

I would kill to be able to have a little coffee pot running in my truck on early morning Sat. race days lol

If anyone has a detailed write up for this, please post, I'm looking into adding this to my truck.

Well before we answer this question, what do you plan on using your inverter for. The factory outlet in mine says 150 watts which does most of what I need it to such as charge my laptop, pump up an air mattress and even run a small coffee maker. What do you plan on running with your inverter?

Charge my laptop and other such electronics. Nothing major.

I would go buy a stand alone converter but I like the stock look. With the on button in the row of buttons with the flasher and anti-slip cancel buttons.

150 watts won't run my little coffee maker... which is not surprising considering it is boiling water. At 120 Volts it only takes a little over an amp to flip the "breaker." the little coffee pot I have flips a 400W inverter, and it only makes like 6 cups via drip. I would live to have closer to 1000W for long road trips. 2-3 laptops + cell phones + coffee pot, etc lol. If you are rigging up your own you might as well go big, or go home lol.
