It sounded very good but the sub seemed to be the weak link. I had already installed the Pioneer shallow mount 8” in the factory enclosure. So I decided to make my own ported enclosure. The enclosure ended up at .69 cubic feet and I used a 5” long by 1 1/2” diameter. I learned a few things along the way. Make sure to use painters tape it releases from the carpet easier, I ended up stapling the fiberglass mat in the rabit of the top frame to hold it in place while the resin cured. The system now sounds incredible. It’s amazing how much bass you can get out of a properly tuned 8” sub. I still need to do some trimming on the cover.

Looks good. I finished mine up a week or so ago and finished wiring up an Apline MRV-M250 and the sound is much better (used in conjunction with the stock sub) but I have fold flat floors. Pretty insane what these little 8s can do.
