Your factory battery will be plenty to run this during normal driving conditions.
Make sure you have quality grounds through-out.

BTW: Yellow tops are kind of the K&N Filter of the battery world.
Well known, but junk.

Stock power system will handle that just fine. The Optimas are now an 'average' battery but still do the job. XS Power is a better battery if you're just looking for better quality and want an upgrade. That said, I just installed a dual yellow top system into mine because I can't find any reviews or literature on the reliability of the XS Power batteries in -40 weather which the truck sees several times a year and I know the yellow top will handle that temperature and still work.

I agree with the other posts...Optimas aren't what they were. My Vette regularly eats a red top from just not getting driven enough. Your stock battery will be fine till it goes, then upgrade.

I agree yellow tops are now over rated but they still get the job done. if you want a better quality battery go with XS. A couple months back my oem battery would not hold a charge and if the dealer would have not covered it XS would have been under my hood.
