Do you keep a tab of how much you have spent on mods for your RAM?

******** it, i was bored today and decided to quickly put together an excel spreadsheet as i want to continue to mod and after adding everything together, mods only, this doesn't include regular maintenance items, my total so far is $12615 in about a year more or less since i've had the truck... sweet mother of god i need a scotch, mostly cause i'm not even half done with my build, it's just crazy when you take a deep breath and think about what you've done. Oh well, Fuelpax can and mount coming in today so i'll keep adding... You only live once :)

I haven't kept a running tab bit I'm probably at about $4K, most of which is the cap and spray-in bed liner.
.. I'm probably in the rookie rank for truck mods

I'm scared to tally up my total, it adds up so quick.

Actually kinda pissed as I'm heavily upside down in my truck after this big EPA lawsuit, so I needed to throttle back and get back square with my DTI ratio. So mods are on hold for the time being.

I try not to but on just this set up this go around I’ve spent over 30k on the 3rd gen and maybe 2k on the 4th gen. Not a cheap hobby

I save all the receipts and log it in an excel sheet as well + maintenance. I'm probably right at 12k on my SLT with the mods, have a few more receipts to log. Thank God the ST I recently bought was mostly modified by the previous owner. Hope my wife doesn't find that excel sheet! Lol..

I have a folder I keep everything except gas.
When I trade it in I let it go with the truck. Why? I don’t have a clue.

I do the same. Sales person smiles each time I turn over the folder to them.

But I refuse to look at the total I spend in mods for the Ram or the Harley.

My mod list is small mostly cause all my money went into fixing this thing lol. Most of what I want to do won't happen till my warranty expires anyway (Nov 2020).

I keep track of mine. Not to freak myself out when I see the list after some time but more to support a damage or theft claim. So, I also keep receipts just in case the insurance company wants them as supporting documentation.

It came in handy back in the Spring of 2017:

I sorta track the money spent on my mods, keep the bigger purchase receipts in a folder in the glove box. I'm at around 5k in mods currently, I've owned the truck since new (5 years old). It's a slow build for me. I do have roughly another 10k worth of mods on my "wish list" - not sure how many of them will actually become a reality though.

I have a pretty good idea and have all the receipts, but prefer not to add it up.somewhere in the 15k neighborhood.

Yes, esp for insurance tracking. When I had my Harley totaled, it was perfect to submit to the insurance for the addons. I even split it on cost+tax=total. They do not take in account sales tax as part of the claim. It does get disheartening at times. With the Jeeps I had $17k on mine and $14k on my wifes. With the addons, we could have bought another Jeep haha.

That reminds me I have to add the 5wh to the total

No as then it would more so like work, as opposed to feeling like a hobby lol.

Gears and LSD at $2500 was the biggie. Shorty Headers were about $1000, wheels and tires were about $1200 after the smoke cleared. Tuner and CAI were probably about $600. Bilsteins were $400ish It adds up quickly. But I paid cash for the truck when new. My insurance is reasonably cheap.

My truck is 8 years old already! How'd that happen? It's not the fastest, nor fanciest. But it's still the best vehicle I've ever owned. Still love driving it.

I keep track in my head. I am on the cheap end. In a year, I have spent

$100 for wheel covers and center caps
$ 70 for bugshield
$125 for steps plus $50 to install
debadging free
$100 for window tint
Bedliner free (drop in oem off of FB marketplace)

I've kept it all on a spreadsheet since new. Total to date is $11,950.22. I think I'm done, but I've thought that before.
