What do you think about the new Ram Rumblebee truck line?

For *ME*, the answer is no. I have better things to do with my money than spend it on the extra gas, insurance and tires.
I do enjoy watching other people do that, though.

Mostly this all depends on your descrenary income/savings. Gots the money, like it, gots everything else,,, f'it, why not?

Personally, I'd rather stock the big garage freezer with giant lobster tails and filet mignon and eat like a king, meal after meal after meal, etc.

I like it, especially the extra fun power from the supercharger, and probably would have bought it when I was truck shopping 7 years ago. Plus, the yellow and black look would match my Corvette (although a man probably shouldn’t own more than 1 yellow vehicle at a time, lol). But my 2019 Limited is well cared for, still like new with only 45,000 miles on it, and most importantly it’s paid for, so I think it would be foolish to spring for that upgrade today. If it starts to have any issues though, especially with the e-torque, maybe that’s my excuse to do something foolish, lol.

I definitely like the new Rumble Bee and it's good that they are offering three different levels. I loved my 2005 SRT10 Commemorative edition which was #92 of 200 built. The single cab short bed was perfect with the six speed manual stick 8.3 V10 456 gears it was fun . I owned it eleven years and really loved it ran into a guy that really wanted it bad so we made a deal. I went and got a 392 Scat Pack Challenger which I still have and I love it also . The Rumble Bee I'm interested in is the 392 because to me they sound better than the 6.2 Hell Cat and I am not Interested in a super charged engine. I know that my 392 Challenger certainly can put a big smile on my face every time I open it up, I guess I still love power and loud exhaust at 74, don't think I'll ever grow out of it! I'll be looking at them when they hit the dealerships.

These will retain some value when you go to sell or trade it off,your modded truck,although maybe cheaper to build,becomes something that's virtually impossible to sell or trade off.
Some guys spend a pile of money on a vehicle,then wonder why they can't hardly give it away,while this truck will retain it's value.
There's 2 sides to your theory that you have to factor into the equation,the first one being,do you plan on dieing with the truck,or in 5 years do you plan on getting a new truck to replace the one you spent a pile of money on,and isn't worth squat now

Not trying to be a jerk . But my thoughts are when I buy it for my personal use, I keep it a very LONG time. So why not build what I want I do not care about resale as I don't do that. If I like it enough to buy it I keep UNLESS a lot of money comes my way on the deal. The trucks I have now will be the last I own. The only other upgrade I desire to do it either a second rear caliper or bigger rear calipers. What amazes me is what people will pay for vehicles NOT just RAMs. Then they finance them as well. I have built my life on STAYING debt free and use to drive much cheaper vehicles. With trackers and payments they can keep these things.

In your case then it's not bad to spend money on modding a vehicle,but for the average owner who trades them off every couple years,it's not wise to spend a pile of money on modding a vehicle. Very seldom do mods add any value to a vehicle,and in alot of cases actually detract from it's value.
The other thing is modding a newer vehicle,then finding out no tuning is available for it,as the tuning platforms are still a year or 2 away from cracking the computor kind of sucks

I've been in to Camaros since I was a kid. I've owned 5 over the years, 3rd gen to 5th gen and still own a 5th gen SS/RS. I never warmed up to the 6th gen, personally, so stayed with the 5th gen.

I would love to think modern GM could built a decent one, but I'm sure AF not buying one the first couple of years...

I think it’s cool but I doubt they’ll sell very many of them, they’ll just be too expensive. What it will do is get people into the showroom.

People these days seem to be looking for more affordable vehicles and all those options double the cost of a vehicle (and are more to go wrong).

My ‘18 Ram 3500 SLT CCSB 4x4 was a leftover when I bought it, there were a lot of ‘19’s on the lot. It was a dealer transfer that wouldn’t move at a dealership the next state over. Only options were the 6.7L HO/Aisin & fog lamps. Since then I’ve added Laramie Longhorn take off 18” wheels, brush guard, canopy, et al.

My Ram is the only transportation I have now, so it has to do everything (tow my travel trailer, transport the garbage can up to the road, etc) and it does the job. I really like this truck and I hope it lasts the rest of my life (I do spend a lot of money on maintenance).

rally truck? i think that would be pretty cool. modeled on the euro type rally cars. most of those cars have turbo charged and 4wheel drive ala audi quattro. so a blower would sort of the same thing. just depends on how much money you have

I would love to own one, but I don't have $100K laying around, I can't afford a $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 monthly note for 7 - 9 years, plus I don't want the tracking devices that come on the newer trucks.

Ram doesn't make a 2 door 5th gen in any trim level. I don't see that changing until the majority of people stop wanting 4 doors. I'm not sure what you mean by a cab and a half, but these Rumble Bee trucks are all quad cabs, not crew cabs. What people used to refer to as extended cabs back in the day.

Even the extended cabs were shorter than the quad cab. Here is my 1999 1500...check out that rear door.
