Video of clarity and how loud Rockford T2652-S 6.5" components can get. $250. For the set. Watch this before you purchase kicker coaxials. I dont have an amp on mine yet, and they are crystal clear and crank. (Not my car in the video)

um. I have no idea if that shows "clarity" or what not just by walking way down the road. I'd assume you'd still be able to hear stock speakers too if they were turned up loud enough. So..i'm not sure what that proves if anything...but I'm sure they are good speakers. :)

The only current RF product I would ever consider buying is some of their amps. They make some nice amps. BUT, what sounds good is so subjective so to each their own

Kickers get loud...that's what they do and excel at.

There is absolutely no way kicker coaxials will get this loud amplified. They can only handle 60 watts rms. Lol
Kicker coaxials are good replacement speakers if you dont plan on amplifying them. Clarity between a good set of components and coaxials is night and day.

Jim i highly suggest you find someone that has a good set of components in a ram and listen to them, then yours. If you dont plan on amplifying the kicker coaxials, then they are a good, cheap cost wise upgrade. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

You lost all credibility by basing a speaker on how loud it gets by its RMS.

My kicker component speakers have been amplified for 6 years...and they’ll get plenty loud

To prove a point like you are trying to claim, put the kicker set beside that car and do the same test.

Just as a purely scientific research project, I went ahead and played my full kicker system at high volume on the drive home. Thanks op, I actually forgot how much fun loud music is, I’ve been listening to that v8 more recently. Now I just gotta ditch the little 10” sub...

Like I stated earlier...if your looking to upgrade from stock, kicker coaxials will do the job...unamplified, which they are designed for. Listen to a set of components amplified, then comment
Yes you will thank me. Dont be butt hurt you spent so much money on crappy speakers. I can make that comment, because i made the mistake of putting the cheap kicker coaxials in my Jeep JK 4 door wrangler. When you install a good set of components, instead of kickers bottom of the line speakers, then you can comment

Yeah ok. Haha

I've had speakers that with 20-30 watts would blow away any set of components.

I don't think any one is butt hurt. They are doing a simple plug and play upgrade for nearly half the price of those components. Add in the fact it's a more complicated install and I wouldn't fault anyone for doing a simple upgrade. Lastly you need a specific type of speaker to work in the front pods of those Jeeps. Even some high end speakers sound horrible in the enclosure.
Oh and the CSs get plenty loud on an amp.

But to get into the details, the CS speakers have a rating of 90@1w/1m and the RF is at 89@1w/1m. Also to note both speakers are rated at 100RMS. Technically speaking the CS speakers will get louder and handle just as much power.

I have a $200 set of Kicker component speakers, I’ve had them for 6 years. And they are running 65 Watts rms off a kicker amp. So I can comment. They are a very nice set of speakers, they get PLENTY loud if that’s all you care about, and I consider the sound to be excellent. I don’t know why people buy bottom of the shelf speakers and decide that means the whole brand is crap. I honestly don’t even understand what the point of this thread is. You are comparing cheap, unamplified speakers to a full blown Rockford Fosgate system? And you think that means Kicker is crap?

Any idea why those RF speakers get so loud?
Because they're not amplified....thank you distortion

My point being, how loud a speaker can get has nothing to do with said speakers RMS rating. A speaker rated @ lets say..200 watts RMS is not automatically louder than a speaker with a 100 watt RMS.
