Hi all,

I know that this is a truck forum so I was hesitant about posting this... However I have run out of options and seeing as you all are knowledgeable about cars as a whole I figured you might prove helpful with this:

My brother has a 2007 Dodge Caliber:)homoswitch:(it was free)). Anyway, as we were driving home this evening, he floored the engine to get up to speed. We got to about 4750-5000rpm, then he felt a click at the bottom end of the throttle which bounced the car off of its 6000rpm rev limiter...

He has never experienced this before, it seems as though the throttle was built to do this because it is spring loaded, which if you apply slightly more pressure then it will give that extra bit of power...

Does anyone know why that is? My best idea is that it was made for overtaking on the highway... But I am unsure.

Thanks for the help guys,

~Mason
