Yup just got in contact with Player 3 already, He's actually saying stage 1 is better for my needs over the Thump cam as I will loose low end with it.
So That was short lived... lol... Just sucks I need to buy an HP tuner now. another 400$ .... yeah... lol....
If you really want to run the TSP Chop Monster" and not sacrifice the low end grunt, a new torque converter would remedy that problem. With your trans being a 545RFE a 3000rpm stall converter would really be the only way to get it moving with the 220°/230° duration @ .050" or else it will be a **** out of the hole without some 4.56 gears out back.
I have had great results with the Texas Speed Stage 2 camshaft. The specs are good and it works quite well in a daily driven 5.7/545RFE combo with 3.92 gears.
TSP Stage 2 Camshaft
218°/226° .582"/.582" Centerline: 112+3
Their stage 2 camshaft has the exact same lift as the stage 1 but with 4° more duration at .050" lift. With proper tuning this camshaft idles nicely and cruises just fine but makes good power.
