I call it my "hidey hole" and keep all sorts of stuff in it. Very handy.

I haven't seen any pictures of this area used by an accessory. Anyone know?

My question is what is that slot on the top of the dash above radio that says RAM?

it is "supposed" to be a storage compartment. They found dead space and made a pocket, so its for anything that you want it for that fits in it.
That's a nice idea. I'll have to remember that when I add some lights and switches. did you have to mod a switch holder to get that?
Does anyone know if there's a plug back behind the plate for the inverter, if you swap from the blank plate to the 120v inverter plug?
I picked one up from a fellow member and don't want to pull apart the dash if I need to get a harness for the plug.

In my truck it's usually where my grand daughter sticks her My Little Pony toy... So I guess it could be considered a stable stall...![]()
Thanks all! It has a rather thick rubber piece in the bottom of it. When you pry it up theres nothing under it. The mystery space. Only the designer knows for sure...
Has anybody found a use for it? besides dust catcher... LOL
Upon further research I found this:
Looks like it was originally the 115v outlet.

Then the outlet was moved in 14 and it went back to being a cubby.
