There's more to it than that....I'm thinking that RAM has enough parts to build a new one about every minute, but they don't have the part you need to get your truck back on the road again.

They may have enough parts to keep production going but that doesn't mean that repair parts are available yet. This is still a really new model and it's likely that the supply chain hasn't stocked up well enough to handle repairs. It typically takes some time for them to build up failure reports to identify the parts they need to keep in stock for repairs. If whatever failed isn't common, then they would have to get it from the supplier. That may take time as well.
It's not a great answer, but it's an honest answer on how manufacturing works.
