You want to use an oiler with a good thick oil, wd40 and silicones are much more temporary and as for other penetrating lubricants maybe some lithium spray if you have it laying around. Stay away from any grease or dry lube, you usually need to use something that penetrates better and can be wiped off, grease wont get in far enough and attracts a lot of dirt.

This is what is says in my 2014 owner's manual:

Body Lubrication
Locks and all body pivot points, including such items as
seat tracks, door hinge pivot points and rollers, liftgate,
tailgate, sliding doors and hood hinges, should be lubricated
periodically with a lithium based grease, such as
MOPAR® Spray White Lube to assure quiet, easy operation
and to protect against rust and wear. Prior to the
application of any lubricant, the parts concerned should
be wiped clean to remove dust and grit; after lubricating
excess oil and grease should be removed. Particular
attention should also be given to hood latching components
to ensure proper function.

Grease would be the best if you can take apart the hinge, but if you rub it on the hinge it wont move and all you will do is make a mess. Whereas 3&1 can just be shot down the hinge. So there ya go, if you can take it apart use lithium or moly grease, if not use an oil. Too bad everything doesn't have a zerk fitting, the world would be a quieter place.

Just lube all the pivot points and see if it goes away.
