2012 ram 1500, drivers rear door is not opening.

I have pulled the window trim and can see the lock rod move when i hit unlock & lock.

Need to figure out how to get door open to replace latch assembly, can't get to all the plastic screws holding door panel on with it closed, any ideas?

Unfortunately you will have to remove the back seat to get the door panel off.
Or if you want to try the easy way you can try to get the door panel off with the seat bottom folded upright.
As you know once the door panel is removed you will have access to everything inside the door. Good luck

What about the 3 or 4 door panel screws i can't get to, just break them and replace them?

Thanks!

Can you get enough of the screws or clips off to slide your hand in all the way to the back of the door? If you can and won’t break any screws then go ahead and try. I’m assuming you lifted the back seats up to try and get as much access to all of the screws as possible? I haven’t taken these door panels off since the second gen Rams so I don’t know what all you’re facing in terms of them, but try a stubby screwdriver or a ratchet with a Phillipshead socket if space is the issue or a phillipshead bit for a drill and pliers or tiny wrench to turn it. These are just thoughts based on old experiences and trying to find ways not to break anything that isn’t already broken inside the door. Now that I’m home and not 2000 miles away I’ll look at the door panel when I go outside and see what you’re dealing with.

I ordered a new latch assembly and will be pulling panel off when it gets here, I'll try just raising the seat to get to the plastic screws, if i can't get to them then I'll break/ cut them and replace with new.
