Hey guys im new to this forum.but I was wondering if you can take a down pipe from a 2001 dodge ram 2500 diesel and put it on a 2004 diesel any help would be great thanks

I can't give you an honest answer, but you could go to rockauto and look up the part numbers for the manifolds and if they're the same, chances are it'll work. Then maybe somebody that actually owns a diesel will give you a definitive answer.

The 2001 is a second gen and the 2004 is a 3rd gen. The manifold and turbo placement is different between the two. On the 2nd gen the turbo is centered on the manifold and the 3rd gen it is offset towards the rear. So to answer the question, no it wont fit.
