Well the only drag radials & slicks you will find are mostly 26-28" w/ the exception of 1 being 29".

So would that equal the height of the factory 22"s or would I be better off getting a full set of the 17"s?

I would imagine the new 22's come w/ 30"+ tires. You just need to measure them. You would be better off getting a whole set b/c you can run a small el cheapo tire on the front & small front runners always yeild good gains b/c of all the weight & rolling mass

Wider is better for traction but to wide will slow his ET down. Im guessing what he puts and hooks good on the stock set up will not hook once more power is added.

Yes at least in dry. Dry- wider=better. Wet- wider=bad cause more chance of hydroplane

Are you keeping your track setup on the truck at all times? Im seeing you thinking bout hydroplaning but only water your hitting on the track is rolling through the burnout box.

In that case just make the switch from dr's to slicks like I did. I was able to hook a 150 shot out the hole & run all the way to 11.9's but when I made the switch from 4.10's to 4.56's is when i started having traction issues on nitrous. Dr's will get you a long way & if they stop hooking then when they wear out get a set of slicks. Rims dont have to change so he should buy the rims now & change track tire set ups if needed.

I have tried m&h & mt dr's & my personal choice on dr's is the 295/45 mt's. They are some great tires & hook great. I have been driving on mine for 2 months now & everytime I get in the truck they put a smile on my face

No. I was just answering the question about is wider better and I pointed out the good and bad of wide tires. I'm going to have two sets of tires

Can I just ask one question? How are you affording all of this stuff, you just posted on my thread saying you have a 700 a month truck payment and your 16 without a job. How do you plan on buying another set of wheels and tires along with paying your monthly truck payment PLUS gas that that thing drinks? I'm not tryin to be a douche but damn dude teach me your ways.

Well my first payment isn't till December 28. And I'm about to get a job at my aunt's dealership making $4,000 a month + commission so about $3,000 a month is gonna be sent in for payments and the remaining $1,000 + commission is gonna be spent on gas(about $300), insurance($150), mods, and savings

Not bad at all, how do you have $50 insurance on a BRAND new R/T though? Just being new would make it skyrocket I'd think let alone it being the performance package and you being under 25.

That was supposed to be $150, fixed. And I'm not really sure how it's so cheap, my mom's 2002 pt cruiser is more than my truck. Weird how things work

Don't forget you gotta pay tax on all that income.

If the dude is 16 then the truck is in his moms name. And they prob dont have him as primary driver either.
