i need to do a drive cycle on a 2006, 1500 5.7 hemi. what do i need to do? just bought it and it wont pass smog

Before you do a Drive Cycle
go to a major Auto Parts Store & ask them if the will run a test for Trouble Codes
It does not cost anything & usually they will give you a print out of things that are stopping you from passing the DMV emissions test

When you go to who ever does the OFFICIAL testing,
make sure your vehicle is up to Operating Temp & that your fuel tank Level is between 1/4 - 3/4 full

In California, the person selling a Motor Vehicle, has to Pass the Emissions Test, before they sell the vehicle to anyone else

Nevada does not have a law for that on private party sales. Most dealers will provide a smog.
