I'm having issues with my rear driver side power window. Lowering the power window doesn't seem to work (tried it on both switches). I also have a new power window motor which doesn't work either. This leaves me to believe the problem is not power window motor but I dont see a fuse for the rear driver side power window. Could the master switch (driver side front) be bad? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What year truck do you have? Why did you buy a motor?

3rd Gen trucks had a common problem if a solder joint breaking in the master switch in driver door, and that should impact ALL other door windows if that is your problem.

Also you could have a broken wire somewhere so you should test for continuity with tester to see if that is the case (from master switch to impacted door if it is only one window that is the problem). Generally a broken wire is in the loom going from pillar to door, have you tried swinging impacted door while holding window switch to see if it intermittently works? That would be a confirmation of a broken wire or bad contact at that point or near it.

All window power goes through the drivers switch assy.
