Has anyone experienced this? If so, please contact me. I have a 2017 Ram Night addition 4 wheel drive. I bought it new. It stickered over $50,000. It's just turned 36,000 miles. Most of the miles were on trips to Florida, Tennessee, Texas, and a tour out west. My wife is always with me so some is always ridding shotgun. We're retired so probably 95% of the time, she is with me. My problem: The bottom of the drivers seat cover is coming up or raising up as much as an inch(you can push it down with your finger but it comes back up.) That's sitting in it for a long time. The passenger seat bottom has never done this. I went to the dealer and he removed the seat to check it out. He has seen it and I sent him pictures. Jessica from car care contacted me and tried to help. The factory rep was going to come by for over a month(A lot of excuses why he couldn't get by) He dropped by one day unannounced and I did not get to see him. He looked at the pictures and said it was normal wear and tear and would not replace it. No reason why the passenger seat never did it.My service manager has been and is great. He apologized and said he couldn't do anything about it because the rep turned it down even though he had seen it and told the rep and showed him the pictures. I guess I'm screwed. Has ANYONE had a similar problem, and if so, how did you deal with it? Thanks for your time.

Good luck--I have a 2017 with 21000 miles on it and have wear on the drivers seat between the seams--actually the black is wearing off the material---have a couple of little slits also and the thread are coming loose on passenger seat---went to dealer and service manager took pictures and sent them to FCA--he agreed it was wear and should not have happened especially with the miles on the truck
Heard back from FCA and they said that wear was caused by outside interference of some sort--possibly a dog or something---Granted I did buy the truck used a year gao with 18000 miles on it---the wear on the seat cushion was not caused by an outside source---the little material seperation might have been--so they offered me that they would fix if I paid $1250.00 I emphatically said no--after numerous tries and calls to dealer they came back with $550.00 to repair both seat cushions---I said no again--I am now trying to get them to replace the drivers seat cushion under warranty--still waiting for response---this is the second go round with FCA and not fun---Problem I have is there is no appeal process---the people I am dealing with albeit nice enough they are working off digital pictures and not the old way where the district service manager would stop by and settle claims. They deal with their supervisor and that is gospel--sorry for the rant---GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SEATS

thanks. I got a reply from Mark, a Ram Social Care Specialist. He said he would like to help. I replied with my e-mail address but he hasn't contacted me. I agree with you, a digital picture is hard to see the problem. I have been trying to get this replaced for over a year. It certainly isn't from wear and tear. There's not any problem with the passenger seat. There is no tears. The driver's seat bottom is just separating. I could not even get the factory rep to look at it. I have waited on him to see it instead of looking at pictures but I can not find out when he's coming. The dealer is great, no problems with him. it's the factory rep. It's his job to take care of problems (not necessarily in your favor but help if he can) but I think he must be a sorry ass rep to not be even willing to look at my problem. I wonder how he would feel to have a truck that stickered over $50.000 and with in a few miles have his drivers seat bottom separate. Keep looking at this post. I'll let you know if Mark ever contacts me or is just blowing smoke and what if anything happens. Something is WRONG with the seat bottoms.

Is the seat COVER lifting off the cushion or is the cushion itself lifting off the seat frame?

Did you check the plastic long clip that connect it to the seat frame? Mine came off once or twice and you can lift the seat up a little. I just pop it back on and it stays.

just curious as to what has transpired with your seats---my problems went nowhere---Ram care was telling me I created all teh problems with the seats---the wear was my fault and would not be fixed under warranty---they offered a discount price---they do not have the usual district service manager come around for warranty arbitration---Ram care is nowhere near what the other comapnies do in regards to warranty work---was going to file with BBB but FCA has a zero rating---has not answere lat 40 of so claims---Have takn steps with the attorney general here---good luck with yours

Yeah in my experience Ramcares is great at making an appointment for you at a dealer, so if you can't do that yourself they are a tremendous help! I know they've helped a few people on here, so it's worth a try, but for most people it seems like they don't do very much other than to try to sound like they care.

Good luck with your pursuit, it sure would be nice if they would just own up and do the right thing here, but seems they want to weasel their way out of things as much as possible.
