Driveshaft issues

I just put a new transfer case in my 98 ram, it's a 241DHD. I read on here it would fit with no problems and now it seems there is one. Slip yoke doesn't fit in the transfer case, i looked at my build sheet to see if something was wrong and there is. The build sheet calls for a 231 HD T Case and I pulled out a 231D, driveshaft has a new slip yoke on it too. I'm thinking the case blew once before and the owner replaced it with the incorrect one and just put a new yoke on the shaft, can I do the same and have no issues? I know it's a 2500 case on a 1500 so I'm not sure on the drive shaft will work for it...
