driving in cruise control with no trailer in the wind

i am driving my truck with no trailer hooked up to the truck and i will be in cruise control and there will be side winds and it will knock me out from cruise control and i will get the service trailer brake controller and i will be locked out from using my cruise control.

Does the truck sway at all? Are you lifted or any modifications. What truck do you have

What's the service brake controller ? a DTC ? if so i think that's why the cruise control won't engage.

If this happens while your steering to compensate for a wind gust pushing the truck around, I'm guessing there is a problem with the steering angle sensor calibration and/or the ESC system.
