DRL Question on Level 3 Power Wagon

So I have DRL's enabled on my truck. I guess I kind of expected the one led bar on the bottom to just light up for this. Basically the whole damn light is minus the high beam. Is this normal? I'm guessing it is. Just curious if anyone has any input on it.

Mine are all lighted too.
I was surprised to see those orange bottom strip DRLs accepted in Canada.
What is a pain is to not be able to turn them off in drive-thrus... It still lights the car in front lol

yeah I was messing around today and when drl's are off the accent strip and the two inner globes light up but the low beam does not. Don't really get why the hell there's a DRL option in the first place if those other two are always on. what's the point.
