Dropped off the truck today to convert from air suspension to regular shocks with a 2inch level kit. Hope I am making the right decision. I am looking forward to see how it feels and handles. Going with an Arnott kit. Not sure what to expect

You should make sure your mechanic does a 50 mile or more test drive .
Just to avoid a repeat of your brake job.
If it’s the same mechanic,be certain that all insurance, health , automotive, life is up to date with payments.
I am using a different mechanic for this job. This mechanic is the one who did my engine work when needed and is a Dodge master mechanic.

seems fishy

Be wary of the death wobble , at top speed some lifted vehicles suffer.I rented a Warlock once and experienced it ,accidently , going fast at the time, hope you've heard about that.

I haven't heard of that happening. I am only getting a level kit so I am not doing some crazy lift. Thanks for the heads up though. It is something to be aware of.

Please keep us updated, especially on how the ride quality compares between the two suspensions. I have the air suspension and I love it. So far, no issues, but.......

Picked it up yesterday. 1st impression is not impressive. The air ride is much smoother for sure when working properly. I figure it might take 4-500 miles for the new shock/struts to settle in. At that point I am hoping for a smoother ride. Right now though, it just feels like it rides like a truck. As far as peace of mind goes, thats a different story. It is nice not to have to worry about it nickle and diming me or having the truck drop at stop lights anymore. I am disabled so I will miss the ability to lower the vehicle to make it easier for me to get in and out of.

Damn, I hope it settles in for you and gets more comfy.

Thanks for posting the feedback.

Are the struts the 2 inch level or did you do struts plus a spacer? The kit is appealing but I think you could literally have used any struts and any rear springs/shocks and been able to upgrade over whatever Arnott is using.
